the chronicle of a 21st century arts administrator

Join the Journey

For the past ten years, I've been asked to share insights into my work in the performing arts industry. Specifically:

  • How the Washington Bach Consort reversed its march towards bankruptcy and became one of the most respected Baroque ensembles in the country,

  • How Orchestra Iowa grew from a $1.7M budget organization with six-figure annual deficits to a $5.1M arts enterprise that operated on budget, and

  • How  the Jacksonville Symphony nearly doubled its annual audience impact from 160,000 to 290,000 in just three years!

What better way to dissect this than to follow along as I embark on the next chapter in my professional career. In addition to documenting what we're doing at the Louisville Orchestra, we'll peek back at some of the more pivotal moments in my career.
